Havasu 95 Speedway Releases Exciting 2009-'10 Winter Race Schedule

by Dave Grayson

LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. -- The Havasu 95 Speedway recently released its ASA sanctioned schedule for their 2009-2010 winter racing
series. From September 26th through May 23d the most scenic quarter mile paved oval in the southwest, located in beautiful Lake
Havasu City-Arizona, will be treating its fans to exciting racing action over the course of 14 weekends.

But, before they drop the green flag on the new season, the speedway is going to spend an evening celebrating their previous winter
racing series.

The 2008-'09 Championship Awards banquet will be held on the evening of September 12th at the Rods and Relics Hall. The gala event
will honor the Havasu 95 Speedway's reigning division champions that includes:

Ralph Adams-ASA Street Stocks.
Tommy Kelly-Bandoleros
Jose Guevara-Factory Stocks
Austin Murphy-Late Models
Chris Gerchman-Modifieds

Then, during the weekend of September 25th and 26th, the brand new winter season officially begins. The ASA Street Stocks will again
be the lynch pin of the speedway's season. The division is scheduled for eight appearances that also includes eligibility for ASA national
points.

While the ASA Street Stocks may be the Havasu 95 Speedway's lynch pin, the Factory Stocks are a major reason why the grandstands
fill so quickly on any given Saturday night. These all American, strictly stock, vehicles bring a brand new definition to the term "racing is
rubbing." Their fans will be treated to 12 action packed races from this division along with four races from the Factory Stock Powder
Puffs.

This division has an extraordinary healthy car count and often has to utilize a B Main race in order to set the line up for their A main. The
Factory Stocks are also a very affordable entry level into local racing for any fan who gets the urge to trade a grandstand seat for a
driver's seat.

Once again the Havasu 95 Speedway will join forces with their counterpart at the Lucas Oil I 10 Speedway, in Blythe-California, for the
Colorado River Late Model Series. Four of the series' events will be held in Lake Havasu City. It's anticipated that the series will provide
the same level of racing excitement as it did last season. Last season's tight points battle between eventual champion Austin Murphy
and Mark Schriner was a season highlight for both speedways.

Those ground shaking, thunder making, open wheel modifieds are also very popular with the Havasu 95 Speedway fans. Local residents,
the Gerchman family, are expected to play a huge role during the four Saturday night appearances the division will be making this
season.

Also making four appearances this winter season will be the Legends. Resembling old style roadsters from the 1930's and '40's, powered
by motocycle engines, these cars literally fly around the Havasu 95 Speedway's quarter mile paved oval and the drivers are not hesitant
to run wheel to wheel.

The Havasu 95 Speedway recognizes that their young drivers are the future of their racing promotions and have created an outstanding
Bandolero program. These small, but very fast, cars puts on a great show for the fans. The division is also strongly supported by local
businesses such as Havasu Legends and Bandos, Bando Stuff and JJ&B Racing.

The speedway's winter season schedule also includes appearances from special guest regional touring series. This is highlighted by
three appearances from the Lucas Oil endorsed SuperClean Modified Racing Series. This outstanding open wheel racing series features
a 22 car starting field and 75 lap features with the race winner receiving $1,000. The SuperClean Modifieds will highlight the speedway's
opening night on September 26th.

Another very popular touring series, visiting the speedway this season, is the ASA Verve Speed Truck Challenge Series who will be
making two visits to Lake Havasu City. This series, designed for mid sized pick up trucks, features 100 lap main events and plenty of
competitive action from veteran drivers and youngsters, age 14 and up.

Other divisions, included in the Havasu 95 Speedway's new schedule, include three appearances from the open cockpit Thunder
Roadsters, two appearances by the Vintage Sprint and Midget Cars as well as an evening featuring the USAC Ford Focus Midgets. The
speedway will also be hosting two demolition derbs this season.

Put it all together and it's another exciting winter season of ASA sanctioned racing at the Havasu 95 Speedway.
